What Is Goodness?
In the first blog, we will discuss the definition and types of Goodness. As goodness can be subjective, this article represents my perspective.
So let’s get started.
Goodness
1. Goodness is something that you can make someone happy.
2. It is something that has a good effect on someone’s life because of your good deeds.
3. Goodness is when you can just listen to other people’s pain and pleasures.
4. Goodness is when people don’t ask for the help, still you help them when they are in need.
5. Goodness is just to do something for others without any expectations.
6. Goodness means not only being good with others but to be kind and humble with your self.
There can be more definitions of Goodness Because this is the word that everyone needs.
As Mahatma Gandhi Ji said, I believe three are the main types of Goodness.
1. Listen Good
2. Speak Good
3. Do Good
Here is a brief explanation of it.
1. Listen Good: Whatever we listen to around us, subconsciously impacts our thinking process. Like if someone says to you “You are not good, You aren’t humble.” Or we read news like corruption, rape, politics, etc. Those negative talks impact our health very badly and the same we spread it to others.
I know we can’t stay away from the negative talks because we live in that era. But at that time just try to find positivity in every talk. We can’t change the system, but if we want we can’t be part of it. So be alert of what you listen to!
2. Speak Good:
Sometimes listening is not in our hands. But what to say is definitely in our hands. I know sometimes due to anxiety, anger, and frustration, we speak what we shouldn’t talk. That speaking is not in our hands. But whenever we say something bad, and once we realise it then to cover negative talks speak something that someone understands your mistake and forgives you. Many people say once you say something bad that it is not possible to forgive or forget. But if you ask me, always focus on Character and intention not just words. Because words can be changed with time and problems but human characters never change.
Speaking is an art. That art we may learn with time but before that we should cover our negative speaking to positive ones.
I said what is reality, not what I always heard.
3. Do Good:
Some people always think that doing good means giving money or helping someone through the money. No it’s not like that. I don’t even know the psychology of Gandhi Ji. But according to me Do Good means whatever job, study, business or any work given to you, do it with honesty and dedication. Suppose, someone asked the address to you, at that time giving them the right address and if you don’t know the answer then saying the truth that sorry, I don’t know this address; that’s the meaning of Do Good. When you are honest to people & work that shows you are trying to Do Good. I know sometimes we make mistakes and we have to lie but always trying is better than crying. Ultimately, doing good means focusing on your Karma.
These are the ultimate path and types of Goodness. I hope this blog will bring little positive change in your life.
